1. Who do you donate to?
Thank you for your thoughtful question! I work for an incredible niche non-profit that works to mobilize grass root level efforts to catalyze domestic adoption. Through my 5+ years of working with A Family For Every Orphan and 3 years of living in India I've come to know and trust some brilliant charities, doing world changing work. The majority of our donations are given to :
A Family For Every Orphan's support of a local NGO's efforts to help children get into the adoption streamline in India : https://afamilyforeveryorphan.org/projects/ongoing/fundraising_cause/17320
Sarah's Covenant's Homes to support individual adoptions as well as their social worker's salaries.
Bring Love In in Ethiopia, to help support efforts to preserve families and create new ones.
We also donate to individual families directly.
2. What is your definition of ethical fashion?
Ethical fashion means something different to everyone. Read more about our focus here : https://ammasumma.com/blogs/news/what-is-ethical-fashion
3. What is your return policy?
The Amma's Umma Promise! We want you to be 100% Satisfied with your purchases and understand online shopping is a honed skill. If you are, for any reason, unsatisfied with your order you may ship back your item, unworn and with tags still attached, for a gift card in the amount of your order as well as a code for free shipping on your next order. Products must be returned within 15 days of delivery. Customer is responsible for shipping items back unless item arrived damaged.
We strive to make intentional and ethical fashion and gifts accessible to everyone. Because of this we keep your costs down and therefore cannot offer exchanges for discounted orders. All discounted orders are final.
Special orders are not eligible for refund or store credit, unless otherwise noted.
We are flexible and want to work with you! Don't be shy and shoot us an email if you're not 100% satisfied with your order. We will do our best to make your shopping experience with Amma's Umma wonderful.
Many ladies have had great success re-gifting or selling items to friends and family nearby. We always encourage this as your first step, not only will it put Amma's Umma in new hands, it will reduce our carbon footprint by not re-shipping.
